An artisanal object deserves gentle rituals. Simple habits keep the burn clean and the fragrance true, from first spark to last glow.
Preparing your space
The right base matters: a heat-safe stand or tray protects delicate surfaces such as wood and marble from warmth and stray wax.
Lighting the wick
A calm, steady start sets the tone. A long match keeps fingers safely away and helps ignite the wick without tilting the glass.
Letting the scent bloom
A full melt pool unlocks the bouquet. Allow the wax to liquefy edge to edge before extinguishing, usually about 3–4 hours. The candle must remain within sight and away from drafts, children, and pets.
Closing the flame
A candle snuffer offers a clean finish and prevents wax from splashing. Once the wax firms slightly, the wick sits centered and trimmed to about 5 millimeters—ready for a smooth, smoke-light next burn.
Knowing when to stop
Burning should end when roughly 5 millimeters of wax remain or when the metal wick base becomes visible.
Clearing the air
A brief airing of the room refreshes the space after each burn.
Extra care notes
Glass feels hot while burning and during cool-down. Moving the candle is safest only when the wax has solidified. Debris such as matches or wick trimmings should stay out of the melt pool for an even, clean burn.

Cruel Saint Candle
Cruel Saint has the most intoxicating fragrance! It’s mysterious and sophisticated. The throw fills my entire living room.
Love this candle! The scent is wonderful and burns evenly. Wish it lasted a bit longer for the price though.
Have been hooked on this candle and scent since I came across this candle in a Boston Hotel while traveling. Ended up brining it home and being stopped at airport security where I told them that the candle and the scent reminded me of the time I had to enter a new phase of life when we dropped our daughter off thousands of miles away from us at college . The TSA agent got so intrigued and sentimental that he wanted to smell the candle himself. And then said “now it will always remind you of new chapters in life “ So I always stock up on my Cruel Saint candle that invokes a bitter sweet memory as well as the notion that we are surrounded by amazing people everywhere
The scent of Cruel Saint a personal favorite of mine. I love its name too. Throw is strong and excellent for a large room. I love the black gold vessel too, works great with my apt decor.
I wish I could leave 10 stars. This candle smells so good; it’s a very sexy, sultry fragrance. I love the intensity of the candle, you can really smell it and it’s strong. The double wick is also a game changer for me since the candle won’t tunnel. I also love how chic the candle looks on my cofee table, love the matte black jar and then rose gold on the inside. OBSESSED! I will repurchase for sure.
