To us, Mother’s Day is not only celebrating fantastic mothers (to human babies and furbabies), it is also recognizing women who inspire us with their every touch changing the world – making it a more wondrous place!
This Mother’s Day week we interviewed 3 fabulous women. We hope you will enjoy as much as we did!
What’s your favorite skincare tip?
Listen to your skin. Just like with our moods, our skins needs are different day-to-day. I personally switch up my products depending on how my skin feels that particular day. When it’s feeling a little dry and tight, I’ll add a hydrating serum and perhaps a rich balm at night to really nourish and relieve it. When it feels a little oily, I’ll switch to a lighter cleanser, a lightweight serum and face oil to help balance and refresh it. Listening to my skin’s needs has been the biggest part of why I no longer breakout as much as I used to.
What do you to destress yourself (and your skin)?
I’m never not masking! For me, applying a mask after cleansing is a ritual. Everything from mixing (if it’s powder form) to applying it with a delicate brush, breathing in the aroma’s and allowing it to absorb, heal and detox…this is my moment of calm. And the longer I can leave it on, the better!
What inspires you?
People achieving their dreams. I always find it so incredibly inspiring when a friend or blogger that has a clear passion turns their dreams into reality. It inspires me to not feel scared, to continue working through my goals and one day share my passion with everyone.
What is your favorite way to disconnect and relax with your family?
Turning all electronic devices off, going outside and enjoying some sunshine. We play with our dogs, our girls love jumping on their trampoline and watching my amazing husband cooking up some yummy food on the grill. Just being outside and breathing fresh air, feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin, hearing our girls giggling is the perfect way to unwind and find my moments of calm.
What’s memory from motherhood that makes you smile?
There’s so many. I’ll never forget when my girls said their first words. Coming home and having them run into my arms screaming “Mommy’s home” always puts a smile on my face. And moments at night, when my little girl still needs her cuddles to go to sleep. These are cherished moments that I will always remember and smile as I look back.
Chocolate or Vanilla or Strawberry?
A black & white…cause chocolate and vanilla taste so good together.
Coffee or tea or champagne?
Tea. I love curling up in a blanket on our couch, sipping a hot cup of tea from Quinteassential infused with healing Reishi, Cordyceps and Astragalus, while watching a movie with my family.
What is your favorite place in the world?
New York of course…but I will always have a special place for Paris. It’s where my husband took me for my first trip to Europe and it’s the city we got married in. There’s something so magical about Paris. The food, the architecture, the history…it’s got the complete package.
Best tip for aspiring influencers?
Share what you love. It’s easy sometimes to just post about things others find interesting and you can start feeling disconnected with your own channel and followers. Sharing what you love, connecting with like-minded people will help create lasting relationships and most importantly…you’ll have fun!

What’s your favorite skincare tip?
Don’t over exfoliate!
What do you to de-stress yourself (and your skin)?
Sheet masks are my zen. I can throw them on while the little one naps or at the end of the day when she goes to bed. Those 10 minutes with the sheet mask on with my eyes closed are all I need to re-center myself.
What inspires you?
My daughter….every day! She has patience, abundance of courage and walks around singing. How can such an amazing person not inspire you?
What is your favorite way to disconnect and relax with your family?
Mornings are my favorite time to connect with my family. I usually make breakfast for everyone, while my husband makes lattes and my daughter tells him which Disney character to make in the foam (this doesn’t happen but she applauds his efforts) and then we all sit together and talk about what we want to do that day. Something about the “Hallmark movie” feel of it all gets me all excited every morning.
What memory from motherhood that makes you smile?
I smile every time I think about the journal I made for her to capture moments from her first years of life. My mom gave me the idea because she always said “this too shall pass” regarding good and bad phases of the baby’s development. I wanted to make sure to capture those moments to share with her when she grows older.
Chocolate or Vanilla or Strawberry?
Haha! When reading this question, my brain instantly thought of creme brûlée so I’m now craving VANILLA creme brûlée. Vanilla is my final answer.
Coffee or tea or champagne?
Champagne 🙂
What is your favorite place in the world?
My home. We’ve lived in a lot of different states and traveled around the world, but we bought our first home this year and I love walking through the front door every time.

What’s your favorite skincare tip?
Choose products specifically made for your skin type. Too often we get caught up in the what’s-popular-on-Instagram world and forget that not every skincare product is for everyone. Hydration is key!
What do you to destress yourself (and your skin)?
I get weekly massages and take nightly baths (or showers). As a mother of 3 and full-time PhD student, I get overwhelmed easily and don’t get enough sleep most of the time. So, I schedule these moments in the day for myself. I make sure to thoroughly cleanse and moisturize my skin at night. It pays off in the morning!
What inspires you?
I find inspiration in many things around me. For instance, when it is warm and sunny outside, I may sit outside and write or just stare at the clouds or stars. Strong, kind women are inspirational to me as well. Too often we see someone who is strong, but lacks kindness, and that is when I lose respect. However, if I see a woman who is strong and kind, then that makes me want to be the best I can be! As a woman, I think many women think they are not strong enough, but when you look at what she does on a daily basis (work, kids, family, volunteering, etc.), you find there is a lot of strength. Strength can be physical, mental or emotional. Life has not always been easy for me and I think that is what strengthened me. You persist and persevere.
What is your favorite way to disconnect and relax with your family?
When I can be with my whole family (kids, husband, parents and siblings). I have lots of siblings and it is the best feeling in the world when we are all together. I don’t get to see them often, so it’s always a treat!
What’s memory from motherhood that makes you smile?
When my kids were infants and would fall asleep on my chest.
Chocolate or Vanilla or Strawberry?
Vanilla if it’s ice cream, otherwise chocolate!
Coffee or tea or champagne?
Coffee and tea!
What is your favorite place in the world?
California. Something about the vibe (and sunshine) makes me full of life!
Best tip for aspiring influencers?
Be yourself. Don’t worry about what others think. Try to connect with your followers. Too often there are “influencers” that don’t bother to like or respond to their followers and that is a huge turnoff. Also, make sure your life isn’t all about social media – have another passion in your life for balance!
